Some anecdotal DD on Beta Glucan

My 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with cyclic neutropenia* several years ago. She experienced one episode a month that was characterized by high fever, sores in the mouth, loss of appetite and such low energy levels that this normally healthy, very active girl could not get off the sofa for 36-48 hours. We found that she was highly succeptable to colds, flu and other bugs that went around. The symptoms started at age 3 or 4.

At age 13, she began having a serious acne problem and a dermatologist put her on low doses of antibiotic. She has taken the antibiotic for almost 4 years with limited results. The acne symptoms also became more severe on a cyclical basis. Three months ago, the antibiotic was changed because it was no longer as effective as it had been in the past. The new antibiotic had some unwanted side effects.

On October 15, while doing my due dilegence on Beta Glucan, a Nanopierce friend directed me to his own beta glucan supplier. I did some more DD and realized that not all beta glucan products are the same. There is a lot of research that shows a very direct correlation between two factors and desired results. The two factors are the size of the particles (>1 micron), and the purity. The source my friend directed me to, and that I ultimately selected was Transfer Point. I phoned and talked to their customer service person, ``Sister Michelle``, and purchased one month`s supply of Beta-1,3D glucan 500mg capsuels. She also recommended their Formula III (beta glucan formula)lotion for conditions of the skin.

When the beta glucan arrived, my daughter stopped taking the antibiotic and began taking the beta glucan and using the lotion as recommended. It is now 45 days later. She has had no cyclical episode since beginning the beta glucan. What amazed us even more was that several of her friends got bad colds and my daughter had only very mild symptoms. She was able to perform at a wedding last month, even with the symptoms, though in the past she would have been sick in bed. In 45 days, her acne condition has improved to a point that it is barely noticable. She recieved a quarterly reminder for her dermatologist appointment yesterday, and had us call and cancel it.

Now, I realize that all of this anecdotal stuff is highly suspect, and certainly no one should base medical or investment decisions on a 45 day trial period of some guy on the internet. But, unless something happens to change my mind, the products from Transfer Point made a believer out of me and my family. My wife also uses the lotion on her face, and says it is the best face cream she has ever used.

FWIW, I have NO connection to Transfer Point, don`t know anybody there, and am providing this testimonial simply because I am a VERY satisfied customer. As far as I know, Transfer Point beta glucan products have NOTHING to do with YBG-2000, other than the basic ingredient, but for those of you that are skeptical about beta glucan, I thought I would throw in my two cents.

*Cyclic neutropenia is a rare blood disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of abnormally low levels of certain white blood cells (neutrophils) in the body. Neutrophils are instrumental in fighting off infection by surrounding and destroying bacteria that enter the body. Symptoms associated with cyclic neutropenia may include fever, a general feeling of ill health (malaise), and/or sores (ulcers) of the mucous membranes of the mouth. In most cases, individuals with low levels of neutrophils (neutropenia) are abnormally susceptible to recurrent infections.
