Geoff,
You said,
"Actually, I think that the recent decline in the share price is not so much attributable to the pessimism of folks like Jeff as it is to the fact that we've just learned of over 17 million shares having the potential to hit the market."
It is my opinion that the POS AM should not have any influence on the share price whatsoever. First of all it is merely an ammendment to a previous filing in February '08, and before that to a filing in 2006. Not particularly recent, IMO.
Secondly, we haven't "just learned" anything, unless we haven't been paying attention. The issued and outstanding has not substantially changed for quite some time. If, for instance, you go back through the filings, you will notice that the outstanding in November 2007 was 32,879,845.
On February 13, 2008, the issued and outstanding was 35,213,178.
Then it went to 35,788,178, an increase of 575,000 shares
In April 2008, another 1,380,000 shares were issued to provide $207,000 to the company, bringing the issued and outstanding to 37,168,178, where it remained in the filing on May 19, 2008.
That is where it remains today, and the POS AM does nothing to change that.
So, even though the outstanding continues to creap upward in order to pay the rent and keep BIOAGRA in operation, I have no sense at all of our just becoming aware that over 17 million shares now have the potential to hit the market. These shares have been in pretty much the same hands for some time, and the VERY low volume in the trading indicates to me that there aren't too many people holding those shares that are anxious to sell at 14, or 11 cents!
I will say, however, that those who wish to "nibble" may be delighted that the ask is only .174. I, personally, wouldn't count on that lasting too long.
Best regards,
