Geoff,
I took a few minutes to think further about your comments regarding IF versus WHEN, and decided to step back one giant step.
Whenever I ask my good friend Kent for a projection, he always responds by saying something like, "I left my crystal ball out in the car last night", or "my crystal ball isn't working right now". That is his way of reminding me that EVERYTHING we anticipate is based on what we currently know, or assume to be true, and that none of us actually "KNOWS" what is going to happen.
There was a time when it was very common to hear a devout person in the Christian tradition predicate any statement of intent with the phrase, "God willing". This was their way of acknowledging that only The Omniscient, "knew" what the future really held. That sincere acknowledgement of our finitude subsequently evolved into, "God willing, and the creeks don't rise." That folksy saying was just a cute way of stating, "this is what I expect to happen, unless something unanticipated happens to prevent it from happening". The French use the qualifier, "normalement" which means, if all goes as expected.
Anyone who takes the time to read through the 10K will see the ominous list of events that potentially could prevent successful accomplishment of the Company's business plan. I believe every investor should take the time to read this "full disclosure" and temper his investment accordingly.
I have made it a practice to do as much due diligence regarding Vyta Corp as I can possibly afford to do. This includes regular conversations with people at several levels within the Company (while trying not to become a pest), time spent studying the SEC filings, discussing the Company with Wall Street investors who have a much clearer perspective than I, staying current with industry news, attending industry trade shows, and plodding through an immunology textbook. I have developed a degree of optimism based on that due diligence.
I expect, based on my limited knowledge, that we will see sales before the end of of the year, and I that the first production line will be committed by the end of March or early April.....
God willing.
