Credibility

I find it interesting that new posters arrive and immediately put on an air of superiority. Suddenly their opinion is more valuable than a poster who has documented knowledge and experience, and personal history.

Geoff pointed out that it really isn't anyone's business why a poster is here, or what his history is (or something of that nature), and I shall respect that point.

However, for those who post and who claim to be longs, it should probably be evident that the real longs will distinguish fairly quickly what is fact, and what is fiction. It's pretty easy to get a basic history lesson from other longs, or maybe even management; but, it is something else to write about others' posting style, and to post as an authority on issues which may be more complicated, and which require a certain amount of personal experience in order to really make a case for their position. It's sad that there isn't more transparency on a board like this, because without it, the honest, truthful debates become lost in the fantasies written by those wishing to enrich themselves at the expense of others.

Time will tell.

Jeff
