Ron,

I have to admit to being amazed that someone would say they dropped over $50K into this stock in two days (or was it one?) and would not have done enough research about it to at least know the answers to the questions you put forth here. But, maybe business has been good, and you have lots of cash to play with. I'm curious about your investing style, but will save my questions for another post.

Bioagra does not curently have a patent, but rather manufactures Beta glucan using a process licensed to them by Progressive Bioactives Incorporated(PBI). PBI has applied for a patent, and that patent has satisfied the examiners and is progressing nicely through the USPTO.

The process of making Beta 1,3/1,6 glucan is very specialized, and has been the subject of many patents in the last 50 years. Bioagra's process is unique in that it is the first to produce large quantities of material of the highest quality available. (As evidenced by the fact that AHD intends to market it for the nutraceutical industry.)

Manufacturing Agrastim (Beta 1,3/1,6 glucan) is not like remodeling your home. You don't get the "do-it-yourself-er" saying, "This looks easy, I think I'll try it myself." Until Bioagra began producing Agrastim, product of this quality was only produced in very small quantities, in highly specialized labs for the pharmaceutical industry, and sold for $5,000-$6,000 per kilo. Now, Bioagra is making it available in industrial quantities and at a price below what the market has been paying for product of far lesser purity.

Dr. Nino Sorgente, Bioagra's VP of R&D is perhaps the most notable scientist in this field. He holds numerous patents himself, and has provided the technical expertise that has allowed Bioagra to manufacture such a high quality product.

I have visited the manufacturing facility, and have done extensive research on the market, the history of the product, and existing patents. I am convinced the recently announced AHD contract is just the first of many contracts ahead, and that we are poised to see significant revenue from sales in the coming quarters.

Best of luck in your investment,

-zties

PS. For more on this subject, I recommend the excellent summary provided in the recent post by Kloock.
