PMB...

I suppose this is at an impasse... at least for the moment.

The questions you asked were real and legitimate.

For someone to suggest that calling the company is a way to get the information you feel is important to your investment decision is kind of pointless. Been there... done that. It's been a number of years, so things may have changed. But, to be put on a speaker-phone with several people in the room doesn't make me very comfortable, and I remember that to be the case the four or five times I spoke to management.

Real investors don't need a person telling them something... they need to important information released in writing. The problem with written communication is there is a record of what was said. We're not hoping to get a sniff of something really juicy, we're looking for basic, legitimate information. (Maybe I should limit "we're" to me and you, and a few select others.)

I know what it is you were suggesting with your post, and I fully support it. I was also fully aware of the AHD's selection as a premier young company in 2002. But, 2002 is a long time ago. The link on AHD's web page leads to a page at Entrepreneur.com that says: "We're sorry, but the page you requested cannot be found". Searching for AHD on the Entrepreneur.com does bring up the 2002 list with AHD listed as no. 22. I used to follow companies on Inc.'s annual company rating, and I remember that many fell out of the public eye after only a few years following their documented success... or they were sold, or management changed, or other significant events occurred. Are there still 6 employees, or has that number changed significantly? And of the five warehouses listed on their website, I would be interested in knowing if these are company owned and operated warehouses, or whether they are leased space at warehouses owned and operated by others, as well as the amount of warehouse space we're actually talking about.

Maybe we're in another quiet period.... and maybe it doesn't do much good to debate this investment. But, I believe that there are many more investors than just me and you who seek more detailed information. I believe we are doing our DD. I don't ask anyone here to spoon-feed me information about the companies in question. I have done my own DD and it comes up short of my expectations. But, maybe the same type of information isn't important to others.

Please keep posting. I believe that you will post anything of significance, as will I.

All my personal opinion.

Jeff
