I will be glad to send you the amount for you to forward to Mr. Finnegan.

I will be delighted to send you what I owe him in pennies.  However, the postage must be payed by receiver (the only way my country post office will work for this amount).

I hope you are willing to act as go between and absorb this expense which will be greatly appreciated by he and me.

As an alternative, I will absorb the great embarrassment of a personal encounter to be able to satisfy what is owed and I will fly to Germany at a moments notice.
