Isn't a case like this, and the attention it draws, a real statement about out society?

I am proud to be an American although I find I increasingly frustrated with many facets of our society, and sadly even more frustrated with our government.

It's odd that the shorting topic was so important... and yet we have never been informed of the progress. Sometimes I really do feel like the system is troubled.... but, accepted.
