Regarding FDA Gras Designation

posted on Oct 29, 2006 08:58AM
As I have posted before, I will state again... BioAgra has gone through the process as required by the FDA for Notification of Gras listing. This has required independent lab analysis and, as I understand, more than one independent laboratory was required. The FDA finally accepted the results and granted the Gras designation, notifying BioAgra a few weeks ago. This acceptance was not a rubber stamp but involved their own (FDA) due dilligence and communications with BioAgra. Though Geoff has presented that the Gras Designation is a waterred down concept, it is significant to potential customers in that there is presentation of the analysis and valid acceptance by the FDA of being "Generally Regarded As Safe". This being completed, BioAgra put it on their website. Now, in my conversations with VytaCorp, they have been adamant that nothing will be released until they have the information in concrete and in their hands. Though the FDA can notify by a phone call, the formal paper work goes through regular channels (snail mail) and the updating of the internet list is done on a set schedule (I do not remember what it is but I believe the list will be updated on the first of each month). I will also state again that this venture by BioAgra with VytaCorp being a 50% owner is the first of its kind. Producing Beta Glucan in volume and consistent quality has never been achieved. The efficacy of Beta Glucan is documented but.... any company dealing with producing large amounts of product (chicken, pigs, fish, etc.) for human consumption will want to know that it is safe and effective. The interest in Beta Glucan is there. The amounts needed will take all that BioAgra can produce. But... BioAgra had to produce and prove they could do it. And, interested companies must test the product themselves to prove to themselves the efficacy of the product. Anything other than that would be negligent by the management of any company. I had to prove Beta Glucan to myself. I started taking it in January of this year after visiting BioAgra at the poulty show and then going to the plant in Hinesville, GA to see their progress. I had been dealing with an intestinal disorder (suspected viral) that referred to my low back, causing constant and sometimes intense pain. In one week after starting on Beta Glucan, my low back pain was practically gone. I was able to stop taking Oxychondon and through nominal aspirin in the morning for both the back and heart and daily Beta Glucan capsules of 10mg, I have had little pain and sometimes days with no pain. With that, I was sold. My study was circumstantial with no numbers to support it. The testing that any company would undergo will involve statistics, a statistical significant number of data to general reliable standard deviation or reliable coefficient of reliability. There is no guarantee that the interest in BioAgra will materialize on testing completion. Their tests could indicate that Beta Glucan is not a viable alternative to antibiotics or a viable additive for natural producers to enhance their production. However, with the testing done on Beta Glucan in the previous decades, even by the US Government, the efficacy has been determined as significant. So, I feel confident that the interest shown in BioAgra's Agrastim will convert into ongoing purchase orders. With that confidence, I continue to support BioAgra through VytaCorp. I hope some day that they will produce Beta Glucan for human consumption so that I have a source that I know will consistently produce quality product. Beta Glucan is not cheap so I also look forward to a significantly higher share price to support my desire for the product. The risk is there. This is the first time anything like this has been produced. But from where I stand, the potential is very strong that BioAgra will become a significant contributor to the producers of livestock going into the human food chain. For us as shareholders, we will have to deal with the attitude and baggage that NanoPierce engendered. I see it all the time on this board. What I find assuring that the participants on this board are an insignificant item to weigh in on a significant press release by VytaCorp of a major purchase order. We may number 10 posters with an additional 100 readers for this board and I feel that number is probably to high. In other words, we, here, just don't matter. What will matter is whether or not BioAgra will achieve major purchase orders for Agrastim. I expect that it will. Regards, Kent p.s. this is not considering at all the growth of ExypnoTech Gmbh with their 2005 10K revenue of $2.5 million.
