It seems equally sad and timely that we surrender our primary objective and abandon our business plan on this day. It brings to my mind a verse of Robbie Burn’s Auld Lang Syne.
We two have paddled in the stream
from morning sun till dine† ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.
There may be some consolation in the following two points from the NR:
1. “The Company is currently negotiating on a debt facility which would allow hard rock mining to commence on site”. Even high risk debt financing carries manageable interest rates in the 2014 interest rate environment.
2. “The Company will also look at . . . . . . Company structure as it continues in the upcoming year”. It will be a challenge to retain our Plant Manager and Geologist. Our technical and operations personnel are essential to our hope for survival. I hope our BoD prioritizes this over all other options.
Keep healthy folks, I know that I’ll be working another decade to recover from this loss.
