The greenhorn finally got it...

I just figured out why the Dec 5 press release didn't have the affect on the share price that I was expecting. I re-read the release several times and it finally dawned on me that the published assay results were not from drilling but from chip/channel sampling. Duh!!!
Being the greenhorn that I am in the mining world I googled that for a bit and now I understand that these samples are only one of several methods used for establishing a drilling program. Tada! So I went back and read the 2009 and 2010 press releases and saw this pattern repeat itself, unfortunately, the former drilling program ended up not producing 43-101 compliant results. I hope the current drilling program delivers better results. For some reason the silver veins appear to be impressive when chip/channel sampled but then they get drilled they come up wanting. Teasers in a way.
To become further educated around this press release, I sent Gary the following email asking him for some clarification: (I am very impressed, he responded within 15 minutes from when I sent it - see his answers below)
Dear Mr. Monaghan,
I am seeking three points of clarification from the December 5 news release.
First, news releases issued on July 30, August 20 and September 6 indicated that drilling would be done at Las Cuatas, Mirador and La Leona sites on the XORA claim. The news release issued on December 5 stated "Some drilling has been completed and core samples are being sent for assays to an accredited laboratory. Results will be released as they are received in minimum two hole lots..." Would the reference to completed drilling in the December 5 news release pertain to the drilling program referred to in the July 30, August 20 and September 6 news releases?
Second, the December 5 news release stated "the main drilling program plans will recommence in January." Does this mail drilling program also pertain to the drilling program referred to in the July 30, August 20 and September 6 news releases or is it a new drilling program based on the sampling results published in the December 5 news release?
Third, the December 5 news release stated "A channel sample taken 25 meters west of the El Mirador Mine returned .12g of gold and 668g of silver over a one meter width. This showing can be followed on surface and a drill pad has been constructed to drill in an effort to follow the depth and strike of this spectacular assay." Why was the sample number and vein name associated with this discovery not stated in the news release?
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
