Message: If I only knew

.Good sunny, Sunday morning: Yes the humming birds are out early this morning, as usual we left the fountain spray on for them to play with. It is a bit more relaxing and makes drinking the limeade, coffee , or tea even more enjoyable just watching them.

I must admit that for the guys it isn't quite as enjoyable as watching well flung together Bikinis proudly parading, but in deference to our lovely UC gals, we will watch the boids., sigh

I must thank Options Gal, West coast guy, and el senor truckulater for their extremely nice posts, sheesh, blushing.

Yes I do have a no. stories, but since most are only distantly related to mining -- mostly of explorations in the then unknown regions in the Pacific Basin. Many of Mexico, such as back packing down the west coast of Mexico when there were no roads, to just above Acalpulco. Then inland to Quintana Roo on the Yucatan peninsula. next to British Honduras, living off of the jungle, while looking for Mayan ruins for 6 months. However they are not applicable to this site..

There 'is' one regarding Tayopa, the legendary lost mine of the Jesuits which for 400 years many men have searched for and lost their lives, which I finally found and now own.

It involves international intrigue, slavery under unbelievably cruel conditions. Illegal mule trains carrying the riches in a leapfrog manner across the top of Mexico via a series of clandestine missions one day apart, to a Bay just below Matamoros for transshipment to Rome.

It also involves the Jesuit Society, in collaboration with the Dutch, to take North America away from Spain, for which they were expelled in 1767.

Think of how that would have transformed Canadian history if they had succeeded.

Then of course there was living with yaquis Indians for 5 years studying them and their culture and being responsible for the regaining of a large section of their lands which had been expropriated illegally by the gov., In exchange for the land which was included in the city of Obregon, and couldn't be recovered, an irrigation system installed.

In return they showed me 3 sliver and gold mines, but which, sniff, cannot be touched yet, political and ego problems. sigh.

Sorry for having run off topic so much. but in any event, for some of these, I have been elected into the elite Explorers club

www.explorers.org

Don Jose de La Mancha

p.s. blame Options gal and the guys, they should know better. However this is Sunday mornng when the site is in the hang over doldrums sooo.
