Thank You Scottpipe.
I was anxious yesterday wondering if not one UC Investor on Agoracom made it to the show in Vancouver. Thumbs up from me too!
I am very pleased with the statement Jim made regarding La Yesca. It appears that the "reformatted mill" will bring this project to life. Last year it was the metallurgical characteristics of the tailings that prevented success. In UC's 01/17 NR Jim stated that “A recently completed study and metallurgical testing has increased recovery rates of both gold and silver, but does require modification of the present milling and metallurgical process. The ordering of additional equipment has begun and installation will begin immediately upon its arrival.” I was confused by this statement as Hamelin had spec’d 200 Te of ore / day at start-up and actually ran trials substantiating this promise. His target was 700 Te of ore / day by year end 2007. This to me was the recovery rate. I understood that it was the purification issue that was the show stopper. Your conversation with Jim clarified this for me as I now understand that the “the reformatted mill to deal with the metallurgical characteristics of the deposit is under construction”
I believe very few of the Agoracom crowd appreciates what the impact of this will be on UC as it appears to me that most folks participating on this forum are speculating on the McFaulds exploration. Using the recovery rates posted on UC’s web-site; At 200 Te of ore / day, this equates to cash flow = approx. $460K / mo. At 700 Te of ore / day, this equates to cash flow = approx. $1,6 Million / mo.
Following the NR of 01/17 Large Deposit asked UC through Agoracom “1. What are the (increased) recovery rates that have been achieved?” and “2. Do the recovery rates achieved in testing meet UC's target for the commencement full scale production?” Me 2995 then asked “what's the estimated time of delivery” of the new equipment?
From your conversation with Jim, it appears that the “reformatted mill is under construction” and that he does not expect permitting (including environmental) issues. This is great news!! We definitely need the answers to Large Deposit’s and Me 2995’s questions. I will be asking the company the following today:
