Correct me if and where I may be incorrect, but ~25 years ago the TSE tried going to a two day settlement period rule. For what ever reason they did not follow through or reverted back to the three day settlement rule (to do with improving electronic banking and Depository/Clearing Houses etc.) With the recent rapid shift to instant electronic cash transfer ability/agreements with proper regulatory infrastructure (legislation etc.) there may well be room for over night settlement rules to come into effect. Depends on if Financial Institutions are in agreement and willing to facilitate the implementation(s).
In the mean time our share price is seeing just a little improvement today so far.
