I called the power company the other day. A woman answered and asked how she could help. I told her I was changing my ways and would like to consider other ways to save on energy. She congradulated me on my choice, so I told her let me get my bill.She spoke of energy saving light bulbs, when actual energy consumption caught my eye (20.00) that can't be right ! The bill was a hundred dollars. So I said so what your saying is if I save (.50 ) in power consumption you take it off the 20.00 dollars.She said that's right?! So I can't really save money can I, I said. To which she replyed Yes you can. (question) So if I save power do the suppliers take that extra power and sell it to the states for even more money? Hmmm
