Hello Sculpin.

Thank you for your inquiry. For starters we would like to inform you that in order to comply with forum rules, the message posted as a question below on the SLI HUB has been moved off topic. This is not an indication of any wrongdoing on your part, rather, an attempt to help members talking a lot less about each other, and a lot more about the issues surrounding your investments.

To begin we'd like to clarify that we have absolutely no control over what is said or posted on sites other than our own. If these messages were to be posted on our site, then, whoever is making these suggestions would get a clarifying response from us in the form of an email; much like we are doing with you right now.

As you are aware, this past weekend, things erupted on the SLI HUB, and members, HUB Leaders and our staff are working collaboratively to provide a resolution to the many conflicts amongst St. Elias Mines coffers.

Yes some accounts were created by what appears to be the same IP address, but that is not the sole reason these accounts were deleted. As a HUB Leader you are privy to the violations window and you can read what kind of nonsense was included in these members messages. It was pretty clear from the get go what these handful of accounts were trying to do, and our admins came in on Monday morning and wiped the slate clean.

With regards to our IP tracking technology, it would be simple if every computer that connects to the Internet could have its own static IP number, but when the Internet was first conceived, the architects didn't foresee the need for an unlimited number of IP addresses. Consequently, there are not enough IP numbers to go around. To get around that problem, many Internet service providers (such as Rogers, Cogeco, Blackberry et al) limit the number of static IP addresses they allocate, and economize on the remaining number of IP addresses they possess by temporarily assigning an IP address to a requesting Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) computer from a pool of IP addresses. The temporary IP address is called a dynamic IP address.

If you would like to learn more about Dynamic IP routing, please visit http://blog.agoracom.com/2010/04/20/important-update-on-display-of-ip-addresses-in-posts/ and http://blog.agoracom.com/2010/04/16/agoracom-to-display-partial-ip-addresses-of-all-posts-as-of-april-26-2010/.

Before we close we'd like to encourage you as we have encouraged others to refrain from submitting messages about other members, their behavior, whether its to praise their input or not on the main discussion forum. This will be determined to be a personal message and will be deleted or moved off-topic. We invite our members to speak about the issues surrounding their investment in constructive and factual manner and trust that this strict approach will help everyone focus their attention on what is important - St. Elias Mines.

We hope this clarifies your inquiries. Please feel free to share our response with others by email, private message or the off-topic forum.

Kind Regards,

AGORACOM

Subject: [Agoracom] (St. Elias Mines) New Message Posted as a Question - IP adresses and alias

A new question has been posted:

Company: St. Elias Mines
From: sculpin
Title: IP adresses and alias

Body:

Agoracom, could you please explain that the alias deleted over the last few days were deleted for legitimate reasons, and were deleted by Agoracom themselves. There is posters on Stock House and here blaming Hub Leaders for these actions. Can you please explain to the forum members that we, the Hub Leaders cannot creat alias and assign them to other posters accounts. And further, that the alias had to be created by the poster themselves. Also, could you please explain the IP address from a cell phone will make it appear that the poster has several alias, but that this can be distinguished from a land line account.

Thank-you, Hub Leaders of St Elias Mines forum at Agoracom.

signed, Sculpin
