Gold acquisition transaction costs were the most expensive in Africa, standing at 26.9% of the in-situ value. The least expensive was North America with prices averaging around 3% of in-situ value. The Australia-Pacific region had 10 deals with $75 billion of in-situ value, which was 33% of the $227.7 billion gold total. This was followed by North America, where most transactions were conducted in Canada, with 31% of the total.
