Spouses are not defined as related parties in any legislation. But they are related parties, non-arms length. Just like common law spouses, and boyfriend/girlfriend relationships. 

And Rushkowsky was more than a boyfriend. He had influence within the company. The transaction was subject to the approval of the board, and required disclosure. 

Your employer, if a securities regulator, is getting poor value. And playing with fire by allowing you to post on a stock blog about a matter that is/was under investigation.
