Those two reasons are part of the story, but not all. And some of the other reasons are why people are still here, including but not limited to, and in no particular order:

Conflicting information regarding drilling results and other information.

Questionable behaviour by management. 

Excessive use of hyperbole and puffery by management.

A herd mentality that took the place of reason.

Reliance on inexperienced opinion and purported expertise. 

Poor legal advice. 

Not using a broker.

Lack of knowledge about the Venture and junior gold exploration companies.
