An avenue to consider in the very near future, if investors are interested, is submitting complaints to the OBSI (the Ombudsman for Banking and Investment services). The focus of the complaints should be individualized to the extent of your experiences with trying to get your proxies during the crucial voting periods. I recall some of you had problems with Scotia Bank and RBC for sure, in trying to get your proxies in time to vote.
