The avenues of the above Act sometimes comes in useful for journalists, and also for lawyers preparing for cases. One of the setbacks with this tool though, is that it can take years to receive the requested information from governments, or at least, many months.
To compromise the effectiveness of the FOIA, the government still sometimes, censors the content that is released and there is a control on what they do release to the public. Because of these actions, any FOIA requested material takes time and when received may be of little value due to censorship. But, there is VALUE when you see things censored in documents, that blatantly says, something is being covered up.
CSIS, a Canadian government agency that is supposed to protect you. But, in many cases, reports of CSIS agents seem to have them as perpetrators and intimidating towards citizens. Now why would a government agency intimidate its citizens, instead of protecting them?
I think Don Ronnings ex girlfriend knows quite a bit..... I find it a shame now that she was escorted from the River Cree gathering of shareholders in May 2012. She tried to tell shareholders some things but was silenced there, I wonder if she has talked with any shareholders or shareholder representatives since that River Cree incident?
