I'm curious as to how a company makes money when it appears their only asset is $1,000.00 piece of property in Arizona. Wouldn't the cost of creating the company along with the filings etc., mean that the property would have to be very lucrative to make it worth while. That being said, if the property is that promising, why would it only be worth $1,000.00.

Here's a bit about the company that was incorporated in the State of Nevada on September 17, 2012:

Arco Iris Gold Corp. (the “Company”) is a South African-based gold mining and exploration company focused on acquiring and developing gold properties. The Company’s initial project, the Golden Idol Mine Project, is located within the historic Cherry Creek (Black Hills) Mining District; Yavapai County, Arizona in the United States of America.

The Company’s strategy is to build value for shareholders by the identification, acquisition and exploration of early-stage properties that show significant potential for the discovery of gold.

The Company is currently completing documentation required to secure a listing on the US OTCBB stock market. The listing of the Company’s shares will enable the Company to more readily access capital to advance its exploration activity and to “grow” the Company.

Now here's a bit about the property that they purchased less than a month later:

On October 15, 2012, the Company entered into an agreement (the “Agreement”) with Beowulf Properties Corp (“Beowulf”), whereby the Company acquired a 100% interest in and to the Federal Lode Claims located in the Cherry Creek (Black Hills Range) Mining District, Yavapai County, Arizona consisting of a total of approximately 20.66 acres (the “Claim”) for One Thousand Dollars ($1,000).
