"Again there is the controversy over the effects mining would have on the water that feeds the micro in the high part of the Lambayeque region, due to the Cueva Blanca gold project developed by the Canadian miner St. Elias Mines, which has estimated reserves of 190,000 ounces gold, plus another large amount of money. It appears the Cueva Blanca is well recognized as a "gold project", "developed" "estimated reserves of 190,000 ounces of gold" plus whatever this line means; "plus another large amount of money".

Although it is evident that tensions needed to be resolved in respect to the water rights affecting the surrounding communities, Molsons earlier post depicts that the locales were open to negotiation and adamant that it was not their fault that SLI made a statement that they were pulling out. If we entertain for comparison purposes, Lori used the same strategy with the Tesoro, that she was pulling out and abandoning the properties. But justification of her actions in both these cases, the Tesoro and Cueva Blanca, appear ill justified, and prompts one to entertain another reason for her pulling away from two very valuable properties and severly jeopardizing the shareholders interest.

Just for fun, if you use a very conservative $10 per ounce gold in the ground (a more reasonable figure would be $100 per ounce) in a buyout scenario for Cueva Blanca, that amounts to $1.9 million, a far cry from the $100,000 it was supposedly sold for.
