I never heard anyone say the US army were involved!

And no, I wouldn't have believed it if I had heard it, it's clearly ridiculous.

Uk soldiers helped guard diamond mines in Sierra Leone, and French and UK warplanes attacked rebels in Mali, to prevent them attacking the uranium mines in Niger, but these were bona fide operations confrmed by the governements themselves.
