Yes it does seem the system is there to rpotect rogue companies from being overturned by their employers, the shareholders, I have to agree.

There is another course of action that could be taken, but hasn't been, and I wonder why?

The greens need to elect a leader that can approach the company for a start, someone that has had no direct involvement until now, so can go in with clean ideas and no baggage.
