Adnand Khashoggi is a Saudi arms dealer. He is real good friends with Peter Munk of Barrick Gold. Barrick Gold was founded by Adnand and was first a sort of telecom company. Barrick has control of most of the worlds gold. The Shining path are aquainted with Khashoggi and Barrick are quite familiar with them as well. There are armed escorts of the shining path that are paid by miners for both protective reasons and as well as escorting gold shipments. Some shining path are also hired to cause conflict to some miners if these miners are intruding on business deals and/or lucrative mineral areas.
