This fellow you are talking about could possibly be Dorian Leslie, the same person who scooped up our Carmi Moly when it "accidently" lapsed. And yes, he supplies some sort of consulting services to SLI 's B.C. properties along with his partner James Thom. I am posting from my phone so I will provide the link when I get home.
