Anecdotally, there is evidence that the Tesoro Property and general area was known to host gold bearing quartz veins for decades, and that in the mid to late 1980’s when the current access road from Otapara was constructed, a period of increased “informale” mining began. Typically, “informale” mining activity is directly related to the price of gold. The fact that “informale” mining activities are known to have taken place in and around Tesoro speaks to the fact the there are significant grade gold occurrences on the Property.
