What Newmont wants to do here doesn,t sound so good for the environment. I don,t know why these big miners don,t use the salt water with pipelines, desalination plants etc. If enough mines in a concentrated area, a couple or more could share the expenditure and get their projects moving ahead showing common courtesy and compassion for their fellow man. I don,t imagine that the head honchos of these big miners would like huge mines in the middle of their cottage country.
