In the chart below you can see the vein widths of 6 veins sampled in the 90,s by an earlier owner. I would assume that these samples were taken from the surface and remember, these were preliminary gold grades, and that the grades get better at depth, since then with proof from the tech report, and better numbers reported as time went on. The main thing to get out of the accompanying chart, is the width on the veins and remember how we had numerous drill assays they were far less widths than the actual vein widths would be drilled on a 55 degree angle. I couldn,t get the chart to paste properly, but here are the 6 individual widths of the veins sampled then,77 , 32, 58, 34, 23, 27. This leaves an average of almost 42 cm veins. Somebody can do the trig to figure out the true length of what the intercepts should have been through each of these veins and compare them to the actual widths of the samples in the NR,s.
Also is a piece below from the tech report which shows 2 tests of the host rock, not veins! in one area. These are high grades for the host rock and should tell you how heavily mineralized the Tesoro is.
1990’s
In 1996, the previous owners of the Tesoro Project commissioned a four-day sampling survey of part (about 30%) of the main Tesoro Vein System (Vera, 1996). Twenty-four samples were collected from six (6) distinct veins, these results are presented in Table 5-1. The reported results from Veins 1 through 3 are in Zona Central. Veins 4 through 6 are in Zona Canchete. The range of gold assays in this study is 0.3 to 74.2 g/t, the average is 13.6 g/t, and the median is 7.0 g/t. The laboratory and analytical methods utilized for the samples is not specified in the report, however it is assumed by the author that professional practices were in place throughout the collection and processing of the samples, and these results are presented here for general grade relationship information.
Two samples of unstated width were collected between veins to check the gold content of the hostrock. The vein samples returned assays ranging from 0.8 g/t to 55.5 g/t gold (average 9.5 g/t gold). The two hostrock samples assayed 2.92 and 1.23 g/t gold. IMO
