Well Crazy, back home here now, so I have to take the time to ask you a question:

You posted this:

The largest short position (Jan 15th) of 378,400, was recorded 5 days after the first bad drill results hit the newswires. Bad results combined with unrealistic expectations built into the shareprice was the perfect recipe for shorting, yet few attempted it.

So, first of all, let's make sure all the readers of these posts are all on the same page. I hate any misleading information!

  • The News came out the night of Jan 10, 2011
  • There was the 11th, 12th, & 13th to trade and the 15th was a Sunday, so no trading on the 14th & 15th
  • The closing price on the 11th = $0.84
  • The closing price on the 12th = $0.93
  • The closing price on the 13th = $1.25

So with your comments "bad results", etc, so which day do you think that short number climbed to over 378K shares. The 11th, 12th, or 13th?

Personally if I was a betting man, actually which I am, I'd say it is much more likely this was all done, IMO, Jan 03rd, 04th, or 05th.

  • The closing price on the 3rd = $2.00
  • The closing price on the 4th = $1.92
  • The closing price on the 5th = $1.92

So, Crazy, I'd like to make you a bet:

I'll give you the 11th, 12th, and 13th, like you suggested by these comments (Bad results combined with unrealistic expectations built into the shareprice was the perfect recipe for shorting, yet few attempted it.) and I'll take the 03rd, 4th, and 5th, like I'm suggesting, is more likely.

Want to Bet Crazy?

I do!
