I hope Lori sent drill core to two different labs for check. This would be very important whereas the first results, although from minute samples, maybe should have been a bit higher,IMO. There are always duplicate core saved, for these purposes and it is important.Where we may be dealing with important cores, a quarter may need to be shipped to one lab and a quarter to another. I have also seen assays/samples get lost or mixed up, so having 2 different labs, lessens the chance of this happening and would be most professional.
For ex; The core is sawed in half, one half or quarter sometimes is sent to the lab to be assayed. The other core is retained by the company for any future referrence for other minerals or a reassay,if needed. So, it is possible sometimes, that by a bad streak of luck, that the piece of core sent to the lab , had the lowest gold grade, or sometimes none.As well as it is very possible that the core retained in the core shack, could be sitting there with a handsom gold grade that is missed.
Here is an excerpt from an NR where it states we are resampling,from the jan 23 release;
"The Company is in the midst of a systematic program of re-sampling and drill core analysis with a focus on increasing the sampling intervals both above and below any noted quartz/sulphide intersections,"
