If you look at the link below, you will see a google earth image of several small mines in the general area of the Tesoro. There are some handsome grades, yearly productions, and ounces mined. Keep in mind that these appear to be small/mid scale operations and should be able to be used in some comparisons. The best one (comoparison)would be, you should have around 7 grams per ton to be a profittable underground mine, its good to see several on this map well above that!
For anyone really interested, approx half of the Tesoro property lies in the northern half of the blue circle that represents the Minera Caravaeli mine. Very interesting hey!

I am not totally convinced that the mine is properly placed on the googl earth image in the top link, whereas qwhen i look at google earth in that area, i don,t see any tailings piles or mining activity. Iwill look closer at another time, but initial scan, saw nothing. I do see a mining operation at 15 15 58 S, 74 39 28 W , and wonder if maybe this would be the right spot for the Minera Caravaeli mine.
