I'm not sure that they have any more info than we do newbie...it's just that it's only now been presented to them by Chad. Firstly thru Murry's trip to China (arranged by Chad) and then recently by Chad to his US connections.

IMO Lori wants some larger stake holders on board that believe in the property and its potential in order to strengthen support for her strategy, whatever that may be.

i.e., if she gets a single big player to pick up, say, 4,000,000 shares that believes in SLI and Lori, it's easier to hang onto THAT support than 4,000,000 shares held by 1000 different shareholders.

Of course I'm just pulling these numbers out of the air, but I believe SHE would like that scenario.
