I was talking to the shareholder again that gave me the photo below of a quartz rock from our Tesoro. He says he believes that 3 of those yellow spots are gold and I guess its safe for me to say that I believe I can distinguish the 3 between the staining when I zoom it in to the max.The trouble with identifying minerals is that they can have many forms and colors, and even holding specimens in your hands does not tell you much sometimes, let alone looking at a photograph. The colors of gold also vary along a wide spectrum of colors as you can see in the link provided and make visible identification hard sometimes. With the gold on the Tesoro, a lot of it is free gold and of a high purity, so identification of the free stuff would be relatively easy, and would be bright yellow. The electrum(gold and silver mixed) would be a little more challenging as well as any gold mixed in the copper to identify visibly, the colors of any of these combinations would be different as well.
.Look at the yellowish triancle at the top right of this page;
