CDNbigfoot,

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Any publicity, good or bad, is exposure to the public. People don't always remember where they saw you or what you said, but they do seem to recall that they saw you, especially if it was on TV.

I do agree that this wasn't her best performance, but lets put it in context. She's not the star here, the interviewers are. For them it was about putting out a puff piece on women in the boardroom.

I happen to agree with Lori's position that women have to earn their place, same as any man. That's either my new age masculine thinking talking, or what the Mrs. has drilled into me all these years. I try not to discriminate. Seriously though, it should not matter - someone sage once told me to blindfold myself before I judged anyone.

I wouldn't read too much into this, as it was not about St. Elias or the price of gold at all. That the interviewers got so much wrong, about St. Elias, is not Lori's fault either. These guys have hours of usually very dull progamming to fill, and that they want to fill it with our CEO is okay with me (IMHO). I hate to sound sexist, but having a female CEO does make our company different - not better or worse, just different. People remember different.
