Interesting, I just watched Paul Bagnel on BNN talk about this offer. Paul mentioned that if this merger goes through, it would give the combined company a market cap of ~$80billion, and would enable them to make bigger purchases in the future.

If this goes through, ands if we prove up something big by the summer, Glencore could possibly be a suitor again.
