We only have two views of the large anomaly. The first Quantec picture was the oblique view that was the big surprise. The second was the one that disclosed the three anomalies and that is all we have to go on. If you look at the cross section of the second one, the edge does not immediately drop like a bowl but that anomaly is more like a bowl with a platter on top-the platter widens as it becomes more central. Thus the width and length appears to me to be a little misleading, but when I made my putty model I had to make the sides steeper in order to fit the only confines we were given; this more than made up for the initial thinner top edge.
My model is not very accurate as we don't have enough input.
Nevertheless I am of the opinion that a 2" drill could easily miss any narrow veins in the shallow outer edge and as the drill turns deeper it is drilling rock without sulphidesi, according to the picture given, and if that was where the drill holes were. It would help a lot to have the complete images and see exactly where those drills were.
