Message: Protests in Indonesia

It would seem that not only Peru gets violent protests against mining. Africa is constantly protesting, Nevada, U.S. has bands of rebels that attack and loot mining companies, Venezuela with nationalisation, etc. Now Indonesia hits the headlines with deadly protests.

We need mining, so a compromise will have to be reached in the future, before everything gets out of control.

Risk where ever you go investing. But sooner or later these big miners are gonna have to take more preventive measures in their mining techniques. It will cost the miners more money, but it needs to be done to secure the affected peoples well being.

We are up on an arid plateau with the Tesoro, had favourable consultations with the nearest natives, around 25 km plus away, so we should be ok in this type of situation. We may be considered remote, but in due time, these sort of locations may be more sought after due to increasing unease when a mine is located near an existing town. If the mine comes first, then the town, its a slightly different situation.
