I attended the AGM and you should not get to wound up on the references to hostile bid and takeover.
She at no point made reference to those as a major concern beyond a simple reference to the fact that in this industry it is a common reality that each company needs to prepare itself for those types of attacks. (I think it's very important to note that both Lori and Herbert Haft both made thier opinions very clear that SLI is extremely well positioned strategically to fend off any hostile actions)
She did make reference to "hostile action" as partial explanations to some of the questions.
for example the reasoning behind only being able to vote for or withold in regards to the new directors as well as why the PP was not publicly offered to ensure that the shares would end up in stable, vetted, hands sympathetic to management and current shareholders goals.
There may have been more times those references were used... but again it was all as an explanation to questions being tabled.
