hi fly,
I don,t beleive this will be the case. If we were to use the existing 500m shallow holes to piggy back the deep drilling, much info would be lost and the existing dip created by the first hole(of 65 degrees) may not be desired to maimize depth.
To better explain;
For us to put 1500 m holes in there on an angle of 65 degrees, would only amount to approx 1250m verticle depth. We suspect the anomaly keeps going deeper and I would beleive it is much better for us to acheive the maximun depth possible out of the 1500 m.To do this, we would drill verticle, and then you could not use the existing hole.
BAH,or another driller might be able to expand on this.
The other thing, the valuable info you would get from the first 500m would be lost, if you used the same hole.
It would seem more reasonable to me, to drill these deep holes complete, so they can be better positioned to get maximum exposure to the anomaly.
