The use of Seekingalpha and that infected Stockbloggers is what I was referring to when I stated:
"While I do not agree with the parts of the ATB memo that talk about the virtues of SLI in particular, the remainder is quite correct and applicable to any junior company's stock."
I just didn't want to stoop too low. While I'm not a big defendant of the banks I would say that the writer of the memo went too far when he / she brings up those two dubious websites.
By the same token, S&P has not been infallible either. And ATB is still waiting for Peter Puck to repay some rather large loans.
I believe that when investing in junior companies it is best for the individual investor to take the time to fully research all (both positive and negative) available information and then come up with their own conclusions. The ultimate responsibility is our own.
