with respect to my comment regarding control of SLI. Yes you are likely right that insiders HOLD around 5% of the shares although I cannot substantiate.

I was talking about control. In a venture like this the President and insiders must have tight reins over the stock and hopefully mitigate manipulation. by this I mean influnce (legal) on large institutional investors funds etc. There are the players who can move large blocks and move the SP substantially.

One thing I absolutely detest is shorting. Personally I think there is no reason for it and it should be banned. I believe shorting is largely responsible for the wild swings we encounter and significantly contributed to the crash of 2008 as well and the recent drop. Shorters can have a detrimental effecvt on what may be a very legitimate company....
