I for one am becoming more and more impressed with how the news releases are being handled.
let me explain my thinking and a few assumptions.
assumption #1 There is more than one piece of news in hand to be released in coming day/weeks/months(possibly some minor)
assumption #2 Due to Blackout I assume there is material news (good/bad) that is significant enough to affect trading patterns.
assumption #3 That Management would stay true to form and NOT release news Monday and already knew they would not.
The tidbit I am impressed with most recently is the timing of the blackout notice (Saturday).
I think Sculpin asked the question earlier why would Lori call for the blackout on Saturday unless it was significant news recieved. I agree that there is significant news recieved, however I believe the timing of the blackout was significant in another way as well...
It provided speculation and hype two days prior to opening Monday...a day when no news was to come out. By the end of today Management will have a clue as to how the market will react to the ACTUAL releases...without ever having to ACTUALLY release the news! This I believe is very clever as it has allowed management to retain all cards to play and to have a better picture on whether they would want to play one at a time, all cards at once or some variation.
Just one mans opinion
