All our attention as of late has been focused on Tesoro and to a less extent the Vilcoro property. The ugly sister, Cueva Blanca has received little or no attention at all. (save a few posts by Sculpin)
Something of interest to note is the number of major mining companies that have now staked claims in the area.
When John Brophy completed his 43-101 on the property back in 2002 he noted that the only other claim in the area was a small claim to the north of us held by Anglo Gold Exploration. Go to our web site now and view the Topology map of the property. NOW we have most of the major Gold companies in the world as our neighbors. Barrick to the north, Vale and Rio tinto to the south, and Newmont to the East. Candente (I don't know anything about) is positioned directly north of us.
Why? Because the same rock in this area is host 2 of the largest Gold mines in Peru including the Yanacocha Mine and the Pierina Mine and is on the same geological trend as them.
The nice thing is in the early 2000's , we beat everyone to the punch and SLI explored a good portion of of these claims and kept the ground with the best prospects for GOLD for ourself.
SLI, the Gift that keeps on giving.
