I am not expecting any big news but would like to be wrong. I think Lori is planning a progressive stepwise release of news that would reflect the best management for her company. I expect she would be pleased to present this on the Amex exchange as it gives far more credibility to a small unknown Canadian exploration company trading on the Vancouver exchange, an exchange that has been known for companies with shady transactions in the past.
Imagine, if you will, an announcement that SLI has been listed on Amex, shortly followed by the news of trenching results that were better than expected, and disclosure of the estimated tonnage of a giant anomaly that is just below known high grades gold, and enough disseminated gold suitable for open pit mining.
The next week or two, a following announcement disclosed results of the shallow drilling program that is deep enough to make one salivate as the results indicate that it reached the top of (very possibly) a mountain of gold. Shortly after that exciting day, there is a short announcement that the deep drilling has commenced, with a dry note at the completion that management is interested in these results because tests have indicated that the grades increase with depth.
Now a big company is really, really interested.
