hey yellowiron,
Yes, they do not have to announce that drilling has commenced.
A material change has to be reported in 10 days, material info, doesn,t have to be. The distinction between "change" and "info" in certain cases, is left up to the company.
What I am getting at, is there are legal ways that the company can keep everything under wrap until the time is right.
They can keep assays under their hats for 10 days. The can keep them under their hat longer for good confidentiality reasons. At least thats how I interpret this Timely Disclosure Policy.(the link at end of post)
This link below is a very informative read, you might like to grab a coffee and take a half hour to get up to par on a few things. It may also give answers for a few other questions we have, like how can Lori be so secretive? She can, if you read this, you will see why. This link is also accessable from the link library.
A must read!
