I'm sorry I didn't expound on my post earlier, I got called out to work just as I was getting wound up. I'm not trying to start a discussion about who is right or wrong. In my particular case I have shares in three different accounts ( TSFA, RRSP,and a general account) and I get a proxy for each one of them. What I was getting to was that if we wanted more control of the vote we could open a minimal account in every brokerage house we could find and for your wife and every kid you got and get a proxy from every one of them, to vote as you please. The thing is, I think a 10 share proxy vote is the same as a million share proxy vote.

Just a thought I had.
