Well, sorry to say, I am not part of the drill crew. I am an AME (mechanic) on the support helicopters. So, I don't really get to see a lot of the actual drilling, but there has been two rigs next to camp over the winter, so I got to snoop. I do know that there is an average of 3-4 box's of core coming in from each drill every morning. There was a drill in another camp I was at in March that got stuck in soapstone at 1000m. They lost the hole there, I heard talk of blasting the end of the rod to save as much as they could. I am leaving next week for Labrador on a job with Rare Earth, so I will get as much info as I can and report back.
