Some of us may be down a lot of money from our high, but it is not a loss unless you sold. You could have sold and have lots of cash sitting there, waiting for what you think is a good chance to get back in. But what happens if the stock is halted again on some unexpected good news and we open at $3.20 or something? Or an overnight offer of $20 per share? I personally will continue to take paper losses if I have to, so I dont jeopardize myself for a possible good run. I dont need the cash right now, so I can wait it out anyway. But I have to say I wouldn,t practice this with every stock, only a very few that I think can turn around and accelerate in a heartbeat.
